Description
In Los Angeles, there is a real disaster involving a rich architect, Ted Crawford, who shot his wife and imprisoned her lover. When Ted is brought to trial, Ted summons the successful lawyer Willie Bechum to resolve that controversial issue in Los Angeles. Perhaps he will change things when Ted asks the judge to represent himself in court. Over time, Willie will discover that the evidence is inadmissible in the trial and that things are going wrong.

The main interest here is the juxtaposing of Gosling's Method acting with Hopkins's more classical style, a spectacle even more mesmerizing than the settings.
