The good news is that these early episodes now seem to be working at (albeit slowly) steering the series into a slightly new direction, using familiar plotlines as a means to ease the transition.

As always, the highlight of the episode is Alison.

Overall, this episode was good but not great; Season 3 still needs a hook.

Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of expanding this world with new clones, but I hate that we're taking away airtime from Maslany.

Sure, Ari Millen and Tatiana Maslany did more than their share of this week's heavy lifting, but there was something comforting about watching Felix play nurse to a broken Mrs. S.

There is no other show on television that's trying to tackle gender constructs and expectations on such a detailed level, and for that, Orphan Black will always be more compelling.

After 22 episodes of mounting questions and very few real answers, the reason I'm still here is to hang out with the women behind the clones, not necessarily the knowledge of how they came to be or the dangers that are threatening their very existence.

Now that Kira is safely out of the way, I've got a feeling this war is about to heat up even more.

It's a new day with new phones in Orphan Black, but yesterday's troubles have followed Sarah Manning and her sisters into their new uneasy alliance with the Dyad Institute.

So we didn't get much Leda clone interaction this episode, but we did get another terrific Maslany performance.
